With regret

With regret I have to tell you that Keith Easton died on Sunday

He was one of the founder members of the LPA, the Three Crowns Pétanque Club and the Windmill Pétanque Club before that

He will be remembered for his intellect, sharp wit and love of pétanque. The game will be the poorer for his passing

Tim Dickinson

Message from Jon Charley, Three Crowns Pétanque Club (Wymeswold):

It’s with deep sadness that I have to announce the passing of Tim Dickinson. He has been battling cancer since early last year. He died at home on Sunday morning with his wife Yvonne at his side

Tim has been playing petanque since the early 1980’s. Initially he played for the “Windmill” in Wymeswold where I first came to know him and latterly for the first team of the Three Crowns Petanque Club

He was a formidable opponent and will be sorely missed, not only for his expertise on the piste but for his generous nature, quick wit and wry sense of humour

Tim's funeral is on 27th June at Willoughby on the Wolds church at 14h45
