Leicestershire Petanque Association

Petanque is an outdoor game that originated in France and is now popular in many countries around the world. The game is played with hollow metal balls, called boules, which are thrown underhand towards a small wooden target ball called a cochonnet. The aim of the game is to get your boules closer to the cochonnet than your opponent. Petanque can be enjoyed by all ages, making it a great social activity for families and friends. It is easy to learn, requires minimal equipment and can be played in a variety of terrains and settings. Petanque is a great way to spend time outdoors and is sure to be a hit with everyone.

The Leicestershire Petanque Association offers a supportive and friendly environment for petanque enthusiasts. Our dedicated team of experienced players are passionate about the sport and are happy to help anyone wanting to learn.
